Allied Paper Company only purchases and stocks 2 Grades of  Paper Roll Products for sale to our customers.

Premium Bonds (aka High Bulk)

These products represent the highest quality paper rolls available in today’s market. The majority of our customers and their equipment suppliers prefer and purchase this grade. 

Blended Bonds (aka ECP [Environmentally Correct Paper])

Blended Bonds are classified as “Medium” or “Standard” grade level products. There continues to be both confusion and some outright misrepresentation regarding the quality of these paper roll products. Here are the facts:

1.       Blended Bond paper rolls are made from alternative pulp (aka TMP [Thermo-Mechanical Pulp]) of fast growing hybrid trees grown expressly for this purpose.

2.      Pulp of these trees is naturally whiter with a lower resin content thus requiring less bleaching agent be used during processing.  This results in sharply lowering the amount of said bleaching agents and other chemicals typically used and expelled into our rivers and streams. Therefore, they are considered a more environmentally friendly product.

3.      The only significant difference in Blended Bond/ECP Grade Paper is its BRIGHTNESS (aka WHITENESS).  When compared side-by-side the “Brightness” of the Blended Bond/ECP is SLIGHTLY LESS than the PREMIUM Grade Paper Rolls.

4.      Blended Bond/ECP Products are not  the same as "Recycled" paper products. Recycled paper products are actually the LOWEST GRADE Paper Roll Product. Allied does not stock nor sell these products as they are not approved for use in any of today’s dot matrix or thermal printers.
